Alone with You in the Ether Book Review

Because we need a good love story.

  2. "Why do you love me" By: Charlotte Lawrence

  3. "Different Kind of Beautiful" By: Alec Benjamin

It's time to revisit Olivia Blake, the author whose work is elegant, a bit pretentious, and also very deceiving. She's the writer who writes from the deep dredges of her heart, who mixes existentialism, philosophy, science and so many other things in a blend that leaves you deeply thinking about the world around you and somehow redefines time in each of her books in some way shape or form. It's the woman who dives into the psyche of people, calling to question morality and humanity, and essentially, free will and of course, the pursuit of knowledge.

Some people love her books. Some people don't. Some people like me, are too curious to look away from all her other work and so, even if I am not always entirely sold by her work and am left with plenty of questions, I am still curious enough to get through ALL of her work because it provokes so much thinking that I kind of can't get enough of her writing. So, here we are with the book that to me, is probably the best from all her work that is complex, but also beautiful and rewarding at the end.

since most of her work leaves me with too many questions and the feeling of "what did I just read?" which is the other feeling I get.

The review should probably be on Aldo Damiani and how he's left handed and how much I love him and his strangeness and how somehow being a theoretical mathematician altered my brain chemistry even though I hate math, but his story with Regan and six conversations as they fall in love was so mesmerizing, I'd love to have a film made of this because it would be amazing. It's beautiful and tragic and existential and philosophical and it leaves you with questions and curiosity and changes the way you see the world and its dizzying and amazing and it makes me want to re-read it again but I will do it later to see it in a new light.

Still an amazing book, though.

Overall: 5/5 stars
